PROGRAM DEFINITION:

• Program focus is on animal health. 
  — Prepare for a career in veterinary science, biomedical science or microbiology.
  — Prepare for a career as a veterinarian. 
• Earn a BS degree.
• Qualify to apply to the veterinary college of your choice while you earn a BS degree.
  — Completion does not guarantee you will be accepted to attend any veterinary college

• Biomedical Sciences Option: for students interested in a career in veterinary or biomedical science.
• Microbiology Option: for students interested in a career in microbiology. 
• Veterinary Medicine Option (3+2 program): for students accepted to veterinary school before earning but wishing to earn  a BS degree.

• 4 units of English
• 4 units of mathematics
• 3 units of social sciences
• 3 units of natural sciences
• 2 units of foreign language.

In addition, you must: 

• rank in the top half of your high school class OR
• have an ACT composite score of 20 or higher OR
• have an SAT total score of 950 or higher.
