Application; A Five Component Process

While we desire to provide this degree program to as many as may be interested; we recognize that we have limitations. Unfortunately, we can not currently distance deliver all of the curricular components of each area of study. Therefore, before you begin the application process, please contact the chair of the committee by E-mail.

In the E-mail contact please indicate your desired area of study, your location, and whether or not taking on-campus courses (at the University of Nebraska or a closer College) would be possible in order to take courses not offfered by distance. The Chair will then be able to respond as to whether we can accomodate your degree program objective.

 

  1. Complete the Office of Graduate Studies On-line Application (Degree Seeking):
  2. Submit the application fee to the Office of Graduate Studies
  3. Send two official copies of transcripts from every institution you have previously attended to:

  4. Three Letters of Recommendation to:

  5. A Letter of Intent including the following:

    1. Explain why you want to pursue a Master of Agriculture degree.
    2. Elucidate how obtaining this degree will help your personal, career, and/or professional goals.
    3. What are you doing now that relates to this degree?
    4. What is your level of committment to successful completion of the degree.
    5. Mail to:

Deadlines for Admission to Master of Agriculture Degree Program:

Applications are reviewed as they are complete.
All materials must arrive no less that two weeks prior to the semester in which the student intends to begin the program. Earlier submission of materials is prudent.

Target dates are:
August 1 - fall enrollment
December 1- spring enrollment
April 1 - summer enrollment

International students must meet deadlines one month earlier.
