CASNR ambassadors give every visit the VIP treatment. They tour students and families around, showing off some of the more fun spots on campus.

Student ambassadors also do group visits from schools in and outside of Nebraska and help with other events around campus like the Nebraska State FFA Convention. Everything the ambassadors do is about helping students and their families feel comfortable coming to the university.

“When I came on my campus tour everyone was really welcoming and they made East Campus feel like home,” Kaitlyn Hanson, senior animal science major, said. “I instantly knew this was the campus for me, and I love being able to give that same feeling to new students.”

Letting students know what college is really like across various academic pathways and showcasing extracurriculars is at the forefront of ambassadors’ duties.

“I truly enjoy it, because I get to meet so many different people,” Isabella Boyle, sophomore PGA golf management major, said. “I get to talk about my shared interest whether that be my major, the university in general, or Nebraska athletics.”

Ambassadors cross the spectrum of majors and organizations on campus. Represented majors include PGA golf management, agronomy, forensic science, agricultural leadership, education, and communication, amongst others.
