Federal Application Process

Federal job announcements are often posted for a very short time.  And, if they reach their maximum number of applications before the application deadline, they may stop accepting applications before the posted deadline.  So, it is important to check USAjobs.gov frequently and have your application materials ready to submit quickly.  Tip:  Save your searches and set notifications for how frequently you would like to be notified of new job postings.

Once you apply, be patient as the average hiring timeline for federal positions is approximately 100 days (i.e. more than 3 months!)  For additional information regarding the federal application process, please visit the following links that contain helpful information and videos.
