Irvin A. and Agnes E. Nelson Fellowship Guidelines
The Nelson fellowship is a travel stipend to assist in the costs of travel for graduate students in any CASNR major who are presenting research or for training and professional development.
Guidelines
1. Student must be in a graduate program in CASNR.
2. Student must be involved in a research project(s) closely related to natural resource conservation, including, but not limited to soil, water, and wildlife (especially birds).
3. Academic achievement is a criterion.
4. Students shall also be judged on the basis of their potential for future promise for contributing to natural resource conservation, as judged by characteristics such as integrity, dependability, and perseverance.
5. Funds awarded should be used for travel expenses in attending a professional meeting for presentation of research results or professional development. This is a small fund and awards amounts are unlikely to cover full cost of trip. Once funds are awarded, amount will not be changed.
