University recognizes future Huskers during FFA convention

Lincoln, Neb. — The University of Nebraska-Lincoln recognized 78 students from Nebraska FFA chapters April 6 who have committed to attend the university in the fall. The inaugural signing ceremony was part of the 89th Nebraska FFA State Convention in Lincoln.

Corn Congress
Image:October 24, 2014LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Young leaders in agriculture attended Corn Congress in Washington, D.C. last week to learn more about U.S. agricultural policy, meet with policy leaders and take part in Corn Congress with corn grower leaders from across the country.
Each summer, corn grower leaders and staff from state and national corn associations gather in Washington D.C. for a series of action team and committee meetings, visits with their respective state’s Congressional delegation and the semi-annual Corn Congress.

Engler Scholarship Winners

LINCOLN, Neb. — Recipients of Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Scholarships at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln have been named for the 2014-15 academic year.Scholarships are awarded in two categories – an undergraduate renewable award of up to $10,000 per year as well as one-time scholarships up to $4,000.
