What you’ll get out of it
Explore animal science pathways by hearing from and talking with animal science professionals and alumni. This informal event will allow you the opportunity to make meaningful connections while having insightful conversations with those working in the animal science field.
In order to make sure we have enough snacks, students are encouraged, but not required to register for this event on Handshake
Browsing Session from 2:30 – 3:45 p.m.: During this 75-minute session, students will be able to browse informational materials and speak with professionals to ask any questions they may have.
Panel Session from 3:00 – 3:45 p.m.: We will have a panel discussion with animal science industry experts that will include time for student questions.
Round Table Discussions from 3:45 – 4:30 p.m.: Professionals will be randomly assigned to round tables in the Animal Science Commons Area. There will be three discussion rounds, each lasting 15 minutes. Students will have discussions with professionals regarding the vast range of opportunities in the animal science industry, including preparation for and entry into the field, getting established, intricacies, and insights. Students will be asked to move tables between each round to help them make new connections & have diverse conversations.
