Dr. Karr has won many teaching and advising awards and is well known to the UNL community at large. Dr. Karr is also well known to our Honors students and has found many ways to engage and challenge them in her classes and her research.
Dr. Lisa Karr has been serving CASNR Honors students for many years offering the opportunity to contract her courses for honors credit and acting as an undergraduate research and honors thesis advisor. Her students note that she does not simply make extra 'busy work' but insists on increasing the challenge and hands-on experiences to enhance their learning opportunities.
We are grateful for the continued dedication, flexibility and creativity with which Dr. Karr engages our students year after year.
